ABOUT FLOURISHing kids
Welcome! I’m Jodie, the founder of Flourishing Kids Therapy & Lactation. I started this practice to help validate and assist families struggling with pediatric feeding concerns. What feeds my passion is collaborating with families who are dedicated to finding solutions for their child.
High-quality care and efficiency are at the forefront of my mind. I accept a limited number of clients in order to give each family the focus and attention they deserve. A smaller caseload means I can take more time with each client.
This is important because pediatric feeding is complex! A holistic approach treats the whole person, and that is essential when treating feeding concerns.
When my holistic approach is combined with a family's dedication, then progress is often accelerated, minimizing impact on time and budget.

Meet JODIE
I am a speech-language pathologist and certified lactation counselor who specializes in pediatric feeding. I focus on functional outcomes with the ultimate goal of helping to reduce stress in families related to feeding difficulties. I am committed to helping families feel heard and supported.
My approach combines skilled intervention with parent coaching so that a child’s therapy plan can easily be incorporated into daily routines. My areas of expertise include optimal breast and bottle feeding, successful transition to solids, transition from tube to oral feeds, expanding “picky” eating, managing reflux, and working with medically complex babies.
I hold the following credentials:
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology - Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders - Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri - Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association - Certified Lactation Counselor
When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, gardening, traveling, trying new things like painting, and hanging out with my family.
